The story behind this design

Putting the full moon directly behind the lion turns the animal into a silhouette at its edges while the face stays lit, which is a harder balance to strike than a straightforward portrait. The grey of the coat is pitched close to the moon's own grey so the two almost merge, and the forest is reduced to vertical strokes on either side. Black is the only colourway offered because the disc of the moon has to be the brightest thing on the shirt.
