Modern car key fobs transmit a wireless signal that unlocks and starts your vehicle. In a relay attack, a device near your key fob captures that signal and relays it to a second device near your car — unlocking the doors and starting the engine without the physical key. The Faraday bag eliminates this vulnerability by blocking the fob’s signal entirely. When the fob is inside the sealed bag, there is no signal to capture, relay, or clone. The same principle applies to RFID-enabled credit cards, access badges, electronic passports, and any other device that transmits wirelessly.

🧳 Ballistic Nylon Exterior, VELCRO Closure, Exterior Pocket

The exterior is ballistic nylon — durable enough for keys, pockets, bags, and daily carry without showing wear. A heavy-duty Velcro closure seals the Faraday bag to block all signal entry instantly. An additional exterior pocket holds non-shielded items like keys, cash, or a card you want to access without opening the Faraday compartment. The bag weighs approximately 1.1 oz and measures 6” × 3.6” on the outside (5.5” × 3” interior), sized to fit most standard key fobs.

How to use

Basic Use

1. Open the VELCRO flap. Pull the flap open to access the Faraday-shielded interior compartment.

2. Place your key fob inside. Slide the fob into the interior compartment. The bag fits most standard car key fobs, building access fobs, and other small electronic devices.

3. Close the flap completely. Fully seal the VELCRO closure shut. The shielding only works when the bag is fully sealed — any gap in the closure allows signals to enter or leave. Confirm the flap is flat against the bag with no folds or wrinkles at the edges.

4. To use your key fob, remove it from the bag. Open the flap and take the fob out. It will reconnect to your vehicle’s receiver immediately. The Faraday bag blocks signals only while the device is inside and the bag is sealed.

What to Shield

Important Notes

• The bag must be fully sealed to work. If the VELCRO seal is partially open or folded, signals can enter through the gap. Ensure the closure is pressed flat and complete before relying on signal isolation.

• Devices inside the bag are completely offline. A key fob will not unlock your car from inside the bag. A GPS tracker will stop transmitting location. This is by design — Faraday shielding blocks all signals in both directions.

• Use the exterior pocket for non-shielded items. The outer pocket is not Faraday-shielded. Cards or keys placed in the exterior pocket remain accessible and scannable.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Allow to air dry.

• Do not machine wash, machine dry, or submerge the bag — the shielding layer can be damaged.

• Keep the VELCRO closure free of debris for a reliable seal.

• Store flat when not in use to preserve the bag’s shape and the integrity of the shielding lining.
