I call it Embellished Appliqué or Decorated Blocks for those who don’t like the A word. I’ve used the technique in several of my patterns and continue to enjoy the design possibilities and the embellishment that it provides. I think it’s an easy way to create wonderfully fun and exciting quilt blocks. Often I use one background color with several contrasting fabrics to make a total of 16 blocks. Then I decide whether to use all the blocks together or use them separately in different projects. This quilt uses all sixteen fish blocks in a diagonal setting with additional strip- pieced blocks in different blue fabrics. \u003c\/span\u003e","brand":"Quilting Books Patterns and Notions","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48073661153451,"sku":"PAD136","price":14.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/hotspotliquidators.com\/products\/rush-hour","provider":"Hot Spot Liquidators","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
