The designs come in two sizes, small and large. The blocks are QAYG (quilt as you go) - as there is quilting around each of the designs as is shown in the picture below. After the designs are stitched out, they are joined with sashing. Then you add a border, layer the wall hanging with another layer of batting and backing and you stitch around each block using stitch in the ditch. I used my walking foot and straight line quilting to quilt the border and then I added my binding. HOWEVER: If you are going to use the cutaway method for your applique, you will have to repeat the placement line after you place your fabric down and before you cut your fabric away.
