DipaliZ Tribal Area Rug Bohemian Polyester

The DipaliZ Bohemian Tribal Area Rug is a printed polyester floor rug sold in six sizes and two orientations. The design is a bohemian tribal pattern of stepped bands and diamond rows that covers the whole rug face. Sizes run from a 24 by 36 inch mat for a doorway or a bedside up to a 72 by 48 inch rug that anchors a seating area. Each size appears twice in the selector, once portrait and once landscape, which is how you set the direction of the pattern. The six sizes here are read from this listing's own size selector.

The story behind this design

Rugs are walked on from every angle, so the pattern was built to have no single right way up: stepped bands run the length, diamond rows cross them, and the borders repeat on all four edges. The palette is the warm side of a tribal weaving, rust and clay with cream between them, which is forgiving on a floor where a little dust is inevitable. The overall effect is old-carpet rather than new-print, which is the point.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What sizes does this DipaliZ area rug come in?
A: Six sizes are offered: 24 by 36 inches, 36 by 24 inches, 36 by 60 inches, 60 by 36 inches, 48 by 72 inches, and 72 by 48 inches.

Q: Why are the sizes listed twice with the numbers reversed?
A: Each size is offered in both orientations. Choose 36 by 60 inches for a portrait rug and 60 by 36 inches for the same rug turned landscape.

Q: What is the largest size available?
A: The largest size is 72 by 48 inches, which is six feet by four feet.

Q: Does this rug need a separate non-slip pad?
A: A rug pad is worth adding on a hard floor, as it stops the rug creeping and adds a little cushion underfoot.

Q: How is a printed polyester rug cleaned?
A: Vacuum it regularly, spot clean marks with mild detergent and a damp cloth, and let it air dry fully before walking on it.
