DipaliZ Stars and Stripes Tee Independence Day Fishing

The DipaliZ Keeping It Reel tee is a unisex jersey crew-neck T-shirt that puts a fishing pun on a stars and stripes theme. The shirt is made from 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton. All four colourways sit in the red family, which is deliberate: the garment supplies the stripes so the print does not have to. It is worn through the Independence Day weekend and by anglers year-round.

The story behind this design

The reel in Keeping It Reel is drawn as a spool of star-shaped washers instead of a plain disc, which is where the two themes meet without either being spelt out twice. White is the only ink used, so the piece reads as a stripe against every one of the red garments. The lettering is condensed and slightly compressed vertically, borrowed from the look of old tackle-shop signage.
