DipaliZ Snowflake Colorblock Sweater Knitted Crew Neck

Snowflakes cross the colorblocked body of this DipaliZ knitted crew neck sweater. The knit is 55% cotton and 45% polyester, cut as a relaxed fit. Nine sizes are available, from 3XS to 3XL. The colorblock bands give the sweater more structure than a plain winter knit while keeping the snowflake motif the focus. Sizes and materials here are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design

Colorblocking and a snowflake motif pull in opposite directions, and the tension is what makes this one interesting: the bands are a modern sportswear device, the snowflakes are a traditional knitting one. Putting the flakes across the seam between bands, rather than inside a single block, is what stops the sweater splitting visually in half. The palette stays cold throughout, so the bands read as ice shelves rather than as stripes.

Care

Machine wash cold and gentle, inside out, with like colors, which keeps the colorblock bands from bleeding into each other. Do not bleach or tumble dry; dry flat and cool iron on the reverse.
