The story behind this design

A first Mother's Day is the one that gets photographed, and this design is built for that photograph rather than for repeat wear — which is why a dated keepsake shirt is a reasonable thing to exist. Purple is the outlier in a lineup of neutrals and is the colourway that treats the day as an occasion; Charcoal is the one that will survive into ordinary weeks.
