DipaliZ Moon Area Rug Retro Celestial Chenille Decor

The DipaliZ Moon Area Rug is a rectangular printed floor rug offered in six sizes. The rug is made from polyester chenille and has a short, dense pile. Suns, crescent moons and small folk flowers are laid out across a golden ground. Each dimension is sold in both a tall and a wide orientation, so the rug can run along a bed or across a hallway. Sizes and material are taken from this rug's own product record.

The story behind this design

This artwork treats the sun and moon as folk-art motifs rather than astronomy. Faces sit inside simple discs, ringed by stylized petals and leaves that owe more to painted furniture than to star charts. Mustard and ochre carry the ground, with rust and off-white picking out the flowers, so the whole rug warms a room the way an old kilim does.
