DipaliZ Microfiber Tea Towel Gold Damask Vintage Glow

The DipaliZ Gold Damask Microfiber Tea Towel is a 16 by 25 inch kitchen towel made of microfiber. A gold damask pattern is printed across the cloth in a vintage register, with mirrored stems and medallions. Microfiber dries fast and lifts water without leaving lint on glassware, which is what makes it a good choice for a towel that also has to look presentable. Bridal showers and housewarmings are where this towel tends to go as a gift.

The story behind this design

Gold on a pale ground is how damask appeared on eighteenth-century silk, and the pattern has been reproduced so often since that the trick is to avoid making it look reproduced. This drawing keeps the medallions large and lets the ground show generously between them, rather than packing the repeat tight the way a printed wallpaper would. The gold is warm and slightly aged instead of metallic bright.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What size is this tea towel?
A: The DipaliZ Gold Damask Microfiber Tea Towel measures 16 by 25 inches. That is the only size sold.

Q: What is it made of?
A: It is made of 100% microfiber.

Q: Why microfiber rather than cotton?
A: Microfiber dries quickly and does not leave lint behind, so it suits polishing glasses as well as drying dishes.

Q: How does this differ from the DipaliZ auburn damask tea towel?
A: This one is a 16 by 25 inch microfiber towel with a gold damask on a pale ground. The auburn towel is 18 by 30 inches, comes in cotton twill or polyester, and carries pumpkins inside its damask.

Care

Machine wash the microfiber towel warm and tumble dry low, washing it separately from cotton and lint-shedding fabrics. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, which clog microfiber and stop it absorbing.
