DipaliZ Knit Vest Diagonal Stripe Pattern

Navy and white stripes run diagonally across this DipaliZ knitted V-neck vest. The vest is sleeveless and knitted from 55% cotton and 45% polyester. Nine sizes are sold, from 3XS to 3XL. Setting the stripe on a diagonal makes it the most modern of the three DipaliZ knit vests, since horizontal and vertical stripes both read as traditional. Sizes and materials here are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design

A diagonal stripe is harder to wear than a horizontal one and better looking when it works, because the angle interacts with the shoulders and the V-neck instead of ignoring them. Here the pitch is shallow enough to stay calm and steep enough to be read as deliberate. Navy and white keep the geometry the subject; in two brighter colors the same layout would read as sportswear branding.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Which way do the stripes run?
A: Diagonally, in navy and white across the body of the vest.

Q: Is this vest sleeveless?
A: Yes, it is a sleeveless knitted V-neck vest for layering over a shirt.

Q: What is the vest knitted from?
A: 55% cotton and 45% polyester.

Q: How does it differ from the DipaliZ striped and nautical knit vests?
A: This one runs its stripes on the diagonal. The plain striped vest runs horizontally and the nautical vest runs vertically.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with dark colors so the white stripes stay clean. No bleach and no tumble drying; dry flat so the diagonal does not skew. Cool iron on the reverse.
