DipaliZ Girl Hugging Tree Tee Cotton World Environment Day

The DipaliZ Girl Hugging a Tree Tee is a unisex garment-dyed t-shirt printed for World Environment Day. This shirt is made from 100% ring-spun US cotton and dyed once sewn, which softens the colour and the hand together. The artwork shows a girl with her arms wrapped around a trunk, companion to the boy in the same series. The oversized cut runs from S to 4XL in four pale, washed colourways.

The story behind this design

Drawn as a counterpart to the boy in the same series, the girl is given a taller, narrower tree, so the embrace reads as reaching rather than enclosing. The washed Blossom and Ivory grounds suit the subject: the palette looks like something left out in the sun for a season. It is an environmental shirt that whispers rather than lectures.
