The story behind this design

A dog and a pair of legs stand side by side in the illustration, cropped so the human is only ever a companion in frame. The word play sits beneath in a soft rounded face, with the fur texture drawn in short strokes rather than filled shapes. Bay and ivory were chosen as colourways because they sit in the same muted range as the ink, so the design reads as part of the shirt.
