DipaliZ Damask Glow Coaster Set

$16.45

The DipaliZ Damask Glow Coaster Set is a set of four square cork coasters, each 3.75 by 3.75 inches. A gold damask pattern is printed on every coaster in a vintage register. Cork takes the condensation off a cold drink and takes the heat out of a hot mug, so one set covers both jobs. This set suits a dressed side table and goes out often as a housewarming gift.

The story behind this design

A coaster is a small square that spends its life half hidden under a glass, which argues for a pattern with no single focal point. Damask obliges: it is built from mirrored repeats, so any quarter of the design looks deliberate on its own. The gold was warmed and slightly dulled here, because a bright metallic on a cork ground fights the texture underneath it instead of sitting on it.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How many coasters come in this set?
A: Four. The DipaliZ Damask Glow Coaster Set contains four coasters.

Q: What material are they?
A: Cork, printed with the gold damask design on the face.

Q: What are the dimensions?
A: Each coaster is square at 3.75 by 3.75 inches.

Q: How does this differ from the DipaliZ Garden Vibe coaster set?
A: Both are sets of four square cork coasters at 3.75 inches. This one carries a gold damask; the Garden Vibe set carries watercolor roses and violets inside a fine scrollwork border.

Q: Can they take a hot mug?
A: Yes. Cork insulates, so the set works for hot drinks as well as absorbing condensation from cold ones.

Care

Wipe the coasters with a damp cloth and dry them straight away rather than soaking them, because cork holds water. Keep them out of the dishwasher and away from direct heat.
