The story behind this design

Skulls go one of two ways on a t-shirt: menacing or celebratory. Join the Fiesta commits firmly to the second, which is the older reading and the one a decorated skull actually belongs to. Black is the only ground offered, and it is the right call, because a decorated skull needs a dark field for the ornamentation to read as ornament rather than as noise.
