The story behind this design

The rabbit stands dead centre looking faintly embarrassed while the chicks crowd in from every side, several of them cropped by the edge of the print so the flock reads as larger than the shirt. Only the rabbit is drawn in detail; the chicks are simple ovals with beaks, which is what keeps the image legible at a glance. The two dark grounds let the pale chicks pop.
