DipaliZ Bamboo Stripe Knitted Sweater

$55.00

Size 2XS XS S M L XL 2XL 3XL 4XL

This DipaliZ knitted crew sweater carries a bamboo stripe pattern drawn from upright bamboo stems. The knit itself is 55% cotton and 45% polyester, and the bamboo appears as the design rather than as the yarn. The sweater has a straight bottom hem and is sold in nine sizes from 2XS to 4XL. It suits anyone who wants a botanical pattern that reads as a stripe from a distance. Sizes and materials here are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design

Bamboo is already a stripe before anyone draws it, which is why the plant keeps turning up in textiles: the segmented stem does the repeating work on its own. This pattern leans into that by keeping the nodes visible, so each vertical line is broken at intervals rather than running unbroken, and the eye reads growth rather than just rule lines. Leaves are kept sparse, appearing only where a stem branches.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is this sweater knitted from bamboo yarn?
A: No. Bamboo is the design: the sweater is knitted from 55% cotton and 45% polyester, and the stripe pattern is drawn from bamboo stems.

Q: What sizes are offered?
A: Nine sizes: 2XS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL.

Q: How does the hem finish?
A: With a straight bottom hem, so the sweater sits level rather than curving.

Q: Do the stripes run vertically or horizontally?
A: The bamboo stems run as upright stripes, which is what gives the pattern its height.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with similar colors. Do not bleach and do not tumble dry; dry flat so the vertical stripe does not skew. Cool iron on the reverse.
