The story behind this design
The leaves here are drawn individually rather than tiled, so maple, oak and birch shapes all appear at different angles across the blanket. Colour runs from a burnt rust through amber into a green that has not quite turned, which is the moment in the season the design is after. Against the dark ground the lighter leaves read almost as if they are still falling.
