The story behind this design

Damask is normally a formal pattern, which is what makes it an odd and rather good home for a pumpkin. The scrollwork here keeps its symmetry and its mirrored stems, but where a classic damask would put a pomegranate or an acanthus leaf at the center of each medallion, this one sets a squat pumpkin. Auburn and gold do the seasonal work without tipping into orange, so the towel reads as autumn rather than as Halloween.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What size is this tea towel?
A: The DipaliZ Auburn Gold Damask Tea Towel measures 18 by 30 inches, which is the only size sold here.

Q: Which materials can I choose?
A: Two: cotton twill and polyester. You pick one at checkout, and the damask artwork is printed on either.

Q: Is this a set or a single towel?
A: This listing is for one tea towel. Order more than one if you want a matching pair on the rail.

Q: Is the design Halloween or autumn?
A: Autumn. The pumpkins sit inside a formal damask in auburn and gold, so the towel suits a harvest table and Thanksgiving rather than a Halloween party.

Care

Machine wash the tea towel warm with like colors and tumble dry low, or line dry it. Skip the bleach and the fabric softener, both of which cut how much water a kitchen towel will absorb.
