The story behind this design
The apple is the only saturated colour in the whole image, a bright acid green against a suit rendered entirely in greys, so the eye goes to the fruit before it registers the figure holding it. The astronaut's posture is casual rather than heroic, one arm loose at the side. On heathered triblend the grey suit almost merges with the cloth, which leaves the apple appearing to float.
