A rice bag is what the Japanese use to take rice to the temple for an offering or to take to the market the fill with rice.
This is a take off of those bags.
It is made with large 2" hexagons and a little simple big stitch quilting if you like.
It can also be made with scraps of fabric or yardage.
You can use it for sewing supplies or anything you desire.
