Celtic knots are intricate, but hard to reproduce easily in a quilt without adding extra layers or colors. This foundation paper-pieced pattern integrates the shadow into the pattern producing a realistic over-under weave effect.

Block assembly includes only straight seams to produce this wonderful illusion of Celtic knots.

This quilt pattern includes

• Master templates to copy,
• Fabric piece cutting chart and assembly charts to minimize fabric waste.

The illusion works best with non-directional fabrics, with the main color and shadow in the same color family.
